This is a marathon, not a 100-meter sprint. You don't need stress over learning 100% of the material. Start getting familiar with the learning materials on the platform, and use them to watch Friends in a relaxed, curious, and enjoyable manner.

How to Use Friends Power Lessons

We talk about this more in-depth in Power Learning Method Instructions , but most of our students have reported the most effective way of the Power Lessons as follows:

1. WATCH the scene - usually a 1-3 minute part of the episode (with English subtitles or without subtitles).

2. READ/ Review the Power Lesson for that scene to understand all the vocabulary, expressions, jokes, and practice pronunciation. Take notes. Print this out if you want.

3. RE-WATCH the scene, paying close attention to what you didn't understand before. Constantly reference the Power Lesson. Some students will watch the same scene 5-10 times in order to understand everything!

4. TRACK your progress with our Checklist, which you can download below.
